Photography Contest themed ‘‘Marmaris in Four Seasons’’:The theme of this year’s photography competition is ‘‘Marmaris in Four Seasons’’. The winners of the photography competition will be awarded by exquisite prizes and most of the participating photographs will be exhibited during the festival.

Sand Sculptures: Sand dune boat competition is one of the traditional activities of the festival. It is the most pleasant and debatable competition taking place at the festival where unique and distinct sand figures are created. The competition is open to any age range in which the families and groups will combat to be the winner. The participants will try to shape the most beautiful sand dune boat by using their imaginations, technical background and talent.

Maritime Competitions: Increasing the love of sea is the main core of the festival; so are the maritime races. There will be several competitions amongst the show groups participating the festival as well as some participants from several institutions.

Greasy Mast Competition: The competitors will fight a battle to pick the flag on the other end of the oiled mast. The competititon requires high resolution and balance. One can witness how persistent the participants can be whilst they try to reach the flag on the other end of the oiled mast. The winner will be prized with gold and the audience will enjoy cheerful moments.

Speed Competition of the Traditional Marmaris Boats: The infantry boats are one of the characteristics of the region and they will race to be the winner; starting from Uzunyali racing up to Ataturk Square.

Fishing Competition: The competition will be open to any age range in order to make amateur fishing widely known, develop amateur initiatives, display diversity of fish breeds in our seas and join the amateur fishermen together with the spirit of competition. The competitors will be taken to a location within the bay by boats to catch the the biggest and the most fish.
